When should you send your Wedding Invitations?
This is a question that comes up a lot, and while there are some general guidelines, there isn't really a one-size-fits-all answer.
Some couples like to be super organised and give their guests a year's notice. Others are having a smaller, more intimate wedding where their closest friends and family already know the date, so the invitation becomes more of a nice official announcement.
As a general rule, we'd say around 12 weeks before the wedding is plenty of notice.
There are a few things that might mean you want to send them earlier, though. If you're getting married somewhere remote, have limited accommodation or have lots of guests travelling from abroad, giving people a little more time can make things much easier.

Give yourself time too
It's also worth remembering that the invitation doesn't appear overnight!
Our design process can take around 4–6 weeks, depending on how bespoke your stationery is and how much we explore together. Printing can take around two weeks, with another week or so for delivery.
So we'd recommend starting to think about your invitations around 6 months before the wedding. This gives you plenty of time to enjoy the design process without feeling rushed.
And actually, your invitation can be a really lovely place to start.
Finding the look and style
Choosing your colours, typography, paper and overall aesthetic can help shape the look and feel of the whole day. Once the invitation is signed off, we can carry that design through to menus, table plans, place cards, mass cards and all those little details.
Of course, every wedding is different. The important thing is to give yourself enough time to make decisions without the pressure. It’s good to plan ahead, but enjoy the process.
